About Marilyn
A Denver native, I graduated from Colorado State with a degree in journalism and pursued my MFA in fine arts photography in Oregon. Arriving in Santa Fe in the mid-70s, I freelanced for the Albuquerque Journal as its cultural arts photographer, and helmed the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra’s marketing department. I joined French and French Fine Properties as a founding associate broker in 1985, shortly after it opened its doors. French and French Fine Properties was acquired by Sotheby’s International Realty in 2004, where I continued my successful career. In 2011 I joined Santa Fe Properties, but came back to Sotheby’s International Realty, which best matches and supports my focus on the unique needs of buyers and sellers of luxury property.
Giving back to my community has always been important to me. For three years, I chaired the Buckaroo Ball’s House & Garden tour. Having helped open one of the first Native-American art galleries in Santa Fe, I’ve remained a stalwart supporter of the Native American art community and our nationally honored Animal Protection Agency.
In my spare time, I ski, travel and indulge my passion for photography. My work has been featured in galleries and published collections.
Areas of Expertise
Success in real estate, and especially in Santa Fe where no two transactions are ever identical, requires open, honest communications, attentiveness to each client’s different needs and concerns , and being pro-active. My clients lead such busy lives, they don’t have time for the day-to-day details. With over two decades of real estate experience, I’ve honed my skills in driving a deal forward, finding creative solutions to sometimes perplexing problems, and crafting scenarios where everyone leaves the table a winner.
And because people are so busy, and so much advertising competes for their attention, I design sharp, eye-catching marketing campaigns to make their homes stand out. My background in journalism, marketing and the visual arts has been a tremendous boon for me in this area. We combine local and national internet advertising, three websites and good old-fashioned people skills to make sure that their homes reach the broadest market possible.
Mission Statement
To deliver my clients a top-notch, professional experience tailored to their needs and working style.
Why I Love Santa Fe
The diverse mix of people here is so compelling and gives Santa Fe its unique ambiance! There’s more creativity per square mile than anywhere else I know. Many clients become my good friends.
