Tesuque has a population of fewer than 1,000 people. It’s a short drive north of Santa Fe, is renowned for its art and culture and boasts some of the most beautiful landscapes in the area.
The Tesuque Pueblo dates back to before the year 1200 and is well-known for maintaining its culture and traditions over the centuries.
Bishops Lodge Road and 84 both provide convenient access to the village. The Tesuque Village Market is easy to find off of Bishops Lodge Road. As the directions on their page say, just follow Bishops Lodge until you reach a stop sign, take a left and you’ll see the market.
An Eclectic Mix
Tesuque has a great mix of residents. The area has long had a reputation for art and for being a popular place for artists to call home, and that hasn’t changed.
Tesuque residential real estate is also popular with people who come to Santa Fe to retire and those who purchase second and vacation homes in Santa Fe.
If you do decide to purchase a home in Tesuque, you’ll be in one of the communities around Santa Fe that are quite popular with celebrities. The area is very private and features truly luxurious estate properties that attract those looking to buy a secluded home at the high end of the market.
Horse properties are available in Tesuque, as well, which gives it yet another selling point for those who want a rural feel to their property, but who also want to be close to town.
Tesuque Homes for Sale
Tesuque has some marvelous estates, but there are certainly other options, as well. Most of the homes here were built between 1970 and 1999. Most of the floor plans have between one and four bedrooms, with one- and two-bedroom homes being more common overall.
The closest public schools are Pojoaque High, Pojoaque Middle and Tesuque Elementary.
